Whenever I remember my childhood, somethings good come to my mind. If I give a color to my childhood, it would be pink.
I have two sisters and one brother and I am so glad to be a member of that family. I have grown up with my sister like a twin because she is just 14 months older than I am and that's why both of us look at the world from the same window.
In my childhood memory, there is a big place for my older sister. We shared many things like a room, secrets, clothes...etc. However, because my sister is thinner than me, it was always aproblem for me. Not to wear her clothes everytime bothered me, I was jealous of her.
Another thing that I remember about my childhood, my mother did not let us go out, so we would not be in danger. Also, she always wanted to keep us clean and far away from some sickness and germs. According to what my mother told us, she took us to the doctor because of some strange red spots on our bodies. The doctor asked my mother whether she kept us in a box! My mother told him that she put a white sheet on the carpet and did not let us to go off from that. The doctor was suprised about what my mother said. He told my mother that she should put us next to a trashcan to get some germs because a human's body needs some of them to train the body to fight them. Because she protected us so much, our bodies did not learn how to fight germs.
Something else that comes to my mind is my sister made me believe to touch a hot spoon which was warmed on the fire. She told me that nothing would happen. She acted like she touched it, so finally I was convinced. When I touched it I remember how my finger hurt:) Also, she burned my dolly that I loved most, I cried for it for several days:)
Some summers my sister and I used to visit our grandmother in the north side which is far away from Ankara. I remember that our grandmother told us some strange stories that she made up.
I want to share something with you that happened to me and my sister. My mother sent us to a market next to our appartment to buy something. While we were walking to the market, a young man came over and asked us whether we knew an elemantary school. Our answer was yes. When he asked us if we could take him to that school, we said yes. He told me to take him and wanted my sister to wait for his other friend. We said yes, again:) While that guy and I were walking on the street toward to the school, he asked me some absurd questions and at that time I understood that we made a terrible decision with saying yes. When he had good opportunity, he was going to kidnap me. I started to escape from him and never turned my head back. When my sister understood that something bad was going on, she started to run toward us. In the middle of the way, we held our hands firmly and ran to our home. We were so scared and told our mother what happened to us. But before we told her, we wanted her to promise us not to say anything to our father. Even though she promised us, she told him and the next day we searched the whole area that we lived, but we could not find them. I don't even want to think if we had found him what would have happened. Whenever my sister and I remember that evening, we laugh a lot and say how foolish we were:)
I have a lot of things to share, but there is not enough time. I should allocate sometime to write other assignments:)
This is my childhood, I hope you enjoy when you read it.
